Software for the ninety-nine percent of bookings made on a phone
Psalmly started with music teachers who were running a hundred weekly lessons out of a paper diary and a group chat. Everything since has been built for the same test: could someone do this one-handed, on a train, between lessons?
Why we built it
Every booking tool we looked at was a desktop product with a phone view bolted on. The calendar needed two hands, the recurring lessons broke the week the clocks changed, and moving a term’s worth of lessons meant editing them one at a time.
So we started from the opposite end. The calendar is a touch surface first. Recurrence is a real implementation of the iCalendar standard, with floating local dates so a 5 pm lesson stays at 5 pm through daylight saving. Double-booking is prevented by the database itself, which means it cannot happen even when two people press Book at the same instant.
The result is deliberately unglamorous: a product that does the boring parts reliably, so a studio owner can stop being the scheduling system.
How we build
Mobile first, and we mean it
Every screen is designed at 360 pixels wide before it is designed anywhere else. Touch targets are at least 44 pixels, primary actions sit within thumb reach, and pickers are sheets rather than dialogs.
Plain pricing
One subscription per organization, unlimited bookings on every plan, and a comparison table generated from the same entitlement rules the software enforces. No per-seat surprises.
Your data stays yours
Tenants are separated by database row-level security, not by a filter someone might forget. Export everything as CSV whenever you like, and delete your organization for good when you are done.
Built for more than one country
Languages, currencies and time zones are part of the data model rather than an afterthought, because a studio in Lyon and a studio in Leeds should both feel like the product was made for them.
Who you are dealing with
Psalmly is built and operated from the United Kingdom. We are the controller for the account data we hold about you and a processor for the customer data you put into your organization, and both roles are set out in our privacy policy and terms of service.
Questions, invoices, security reports and data requests all reach a person at support@psalmly.co.uk.
Come and break it
Start an organization, put a real week in it and see whether it holds up. If it does not, tell us — that is how the last version got better.
